Try It Tuesday – Learn Origami
By
Ever wonder how people make those tiny paper cranes? You will find that it’s not really as hard as it looks if you take a quick peek into the art of Origami.
Courtesy of Wikipedia:
Origami (折り紙 origami?) (from oru meaning “folding”, and kami meaning “paper”) is the traditional Japanese art of paper folding. The goal of this art is to create a representation of an object using geometric folds and crease patterns preferably without the use of gluing or cutting the paper, and using only one piece of paper.
There are lots of resources out on the web if you would like to give it a try. Many Origami dedicated websites have diagrams you can download that walk you through each project step by step. There are also countless videos on youtube like the one below that provide a walkthrough. Give it a try and impress someone you know.
