Go into work early
ByI see it all the time at work. People show up on time and immediately get swept into a crisis or discussion that was unexpected. That’s followed by a meeting. Then a project. Then a few phone calls. The next thing you know, the day is over and you have a long list of things that you were unable to accomplish.
Now what? Why not go into work 45 minutes early. Odds are the office will be on the empty side and the distractions will be minimal. Use the time to catch up on email, review some meeting notes and accomplish those things you may have had to leave behind yesterday. Odds are you will get a lot done in those few minutes before all the office commotion starts. That just means less stress later in the day.
