Try It Tuesday: Learn How to Make Sushi
Posted by: | CommentsA lot of my friends have mentioned to me that they love sushi, but complain about the cost. This results in them very rarely actually enjoying something they love. My solution is simple. Make your own. For a fraction of the cost of a Japanese restaurant, you can have your own sushi whenever you like. All it takes is a little work on your part.
There are plenty of internet resources, such as Make My Sushi. They provide some recipes, walthroughs, and explanations of the tools and foods used.
You can also find many videos on YouTube such as this one for a visual walkthrough.
Movie Monday: Watch a movie on the AFI’s 100 Years… 100 Movies List. Review it aftwards.
Posted by: | CommentsBack in 1998 the American Film Institute put together their list of the 100 Greatest Movies of All Time. Since that time they have made it a yearly event, creating a new list on different aspects of movies such as quotes and villains each year. In 2007, they released an updated 10th Anniversary Edition of their original list. You’ll find that below.
Personally, I have seen 28 movies on the list. Hit up Blockbuster or dust off a movie from your bookshelf and find a nice quiet spot to watch. When you are done, post a quick review.
I’d also be curious how many movies on the list other people have seen.

Watch baseball
Posted by: | CommentsI know I know, Sundays are for football. But guess what, you still have another 2 and a half months til that happens again. What you do however have is the last day of Major League Baseball’s Interleague play today. That’s right, you get your chance to see those American League pitchers that have 12 career at bats take one last shot at bunting the runner from first to second.
Invite some friends over. Grab a cold drink. Throw some dogs on the grill. Try and enjoy a lazy summer afternoon talking about endless statistics that only a sports fan of your caliber has ever even considered hearing about.
In case you are shy to the rest of the internet, here is a listing of all the games being played today:

Go on a road trip with no destination
Posted by: | Comments
Enjoy your Saturday by getting in your car and just drive. Maybe take a state road you have never traveled. Maybe just pick a driection and go. Either way, drive until you find something new and unexpected that interests you. Maybe it’s a scenic location or an attraction you have never seen. When you get there take a picture or write something that may help you relive the memory later. Post it here to share with others.

Posted by: | CommentsBust out your cameras, scower the internet for that gem. Your goal for today is to find the funniest road sign you can and post it back here. Bonus points for funny captions.
